The Aranzazu Project, located in Zacatecas State, Mexico, is an underground operation producing copper, gold and silver. As part of a re-start to the operations, a wet-mix shotcrete was introduced for local ground support.

Team Mixing was low bidder on the plant supply contract based on direct shipping a Simem (Italy) manufactured plant to site.

The plant was designed to break down into pieces suitable for loading into standard shipping containers, including the two piece silos which nest together inside the container. The hoppers and structural steel are fully galvanized.

Cement is pneumatically delivered to the cement silos and fed to a weigh hopper overtop the planetary mixer for batching. Fine and coarse aggregate are weighed from the holding hoppers onto a belt conveyor which feeds the mixer. Water is measured by mag-flow meter. Multiple batches are required to fill the Maclean Engineering 3.5m3 capacity transmixer.

Plant control is automated with full batch logging capabilities.
