Lafarge Construction Materials operates a large gravel pit at Earle Creek on B.C.’s sunshine coast. The nominal production rate at this plant, which includes aggregate screening and washing is 500 TPH. Coastal British Columbia is reputed to have some of the finest construction aggregate in the world.
Lafarge contracted Team Mixing Technologies for the fabrication of the steelwork including structural steel, chutes, bents, and catwalks. Also included in the scope of work was complete field installation of this large project. Barges are loaded via conveyor at this salt-water loadout facility and ply their way to the more populated areas of southwest B.C.
TMT employees enjoyed the daily water taxi rides to and from the site in what is one of the most picturesque sites we have worked at.
