Located on the Kuskokwim River, in northwest Alaska, the village of Aniak was threatened by river erosion during spring thaw. The most severe erosion was occurring at the end of the airport runway that in fact, was the only paved area in Aniak.
Pacific Erosion Control Inc., working with Alaska Development Services, Inc., asked Team Mixing Technologies to provide a portable ready mix concrete batch plant for grouting river bank erosion measures proposed in the coming spring.
This plant used bagged cement, metered water and was fed by front-end loader.
TMT provided setup and training for this plant during a quick two day trip to this beautiful part of the world.
